Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry
The goal is to train the students in various reaction mechanisms and develops skills in the designing of target specific molecules
Objectives
Knowledge, understanding and attitude To train the candidates with different theoretical aspects involved in drug design Ability to master the different technique used in the synthesis of drug molecules Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry is actively involved in research activities in the area of synthetic organic heterocyclic moieties. The department has well equipped facilities for research work sophisticated instruments like HPLC, FTIR, U.V., Brookfield Viscometer, Microwave Oven and all the basic required facilities to have the U.G and P.G. courses.
Research Areas of the P.G. Department
Synthetic heterocyclic chemistry to get fluoro-benzothiazole incorporated with other moieties like oxazole, pyrazole, imidazole, oxadiazole, thiadiazole, Quinazoline, pyrimidine, sulfonamides, azetidinone, thiazolidine, Quinoline pyrimidine derivatives and organo metallic compounds.
