Courses Offered
The course of study in Diploma in Pharmacy comprises of Part-I and Part-II. There shall be annual examination in the first year on the subjects of Part-I and an examination in the second year comprising the Part-II subjects for 80 marks in each subjects. The internal assessment exams will be conducted thrice in a year for 20 marks. Average of best of two internal assessment marks shall be considered. All in all maximum marks in each subject shall be 100 (inclusive of 80 marks in annual exams and 20 marks for internal assessment). Minimum of 40% (including annual exams and sessional exams) shall be obtained to pass the subject.
Duration of Course
The course of academic training is of 2 years duration with minimum of 180 working days per year followed by a practical training not less than 500 hours covered in around 3 months. Curriculum

The course of study of B.Pharma I, II, III and Final year will include the respective theory and practical subjects as given in the tables below. The number of hours to be devoted to each theory, tutorial and practical sublects in an academic year will not be less than that noted below.
Duration of Course
The course of B.Pharma will extend over a period of four academic years. The curricula and syllabi for the course will be prescribed from time to time by RGUHS.

(M.Pharma) A post graduate course run by SCSCOP and is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The requirement for admission is a B.Pharm from any recognised university of India with a minimun of 55% marks (aggregate of 4 years). For SC/ST Category-I candidates, the prescribed percentage of marks will be 50% of the maximun marks in the qualifying examinations.
Further, Pharmacy teachers having recognised B.Pharma qualification and with minium of 5 years of teaching experience in an institution approved ay AICTE and PCI will be eligible provided they have scored not less than 50% of the maxinum marks (Aggreate of 4 years).

Part I – 3 Specialized and 1 common subject.
Part II – Dissertation work

Pharm.D course is introduced by the Government of India and the Pharmacy Council of India in 2008. It was introduced to improve clinical pharmacy services in India and it is the only pharmacy service which is in direct contact with patient health care system. The Pharm.D degree requires five years of classroom and hospital based didactic study (two years didactic post-baccalaureate course), followed by one year of internship training in addition to ongoing practicals and research project. With reference to Clarification on Pharm.D qualification, it is clarified to all universities that Pharm.D is a post graduate degree and passed out students can directly register for Ph.D From 2012.
Eligibility
A pass in 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Mathematics or Biology. Or A pass in D.Pharm course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy council of India under section 12 of The Pharmacy Act.
For Pharm D (Post Baccalaureate): A pass in B.Pharm from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.
- Candidates who have passed 10+2 from national open school are not eligible for admission under the Pharmacy Act
- Pharm.D is a registrable qualification under the Pharmacy Act 1948.
- After Pharm.D, the candidate is eligible to register for Ph.D.
- Candidates who have successfully completed Pharma. D can prefix Dr in their name for the purpose of practicing Pharmacy Profession under Pharmacy Act
