About Society

T.M.A.E.’s society, Harapanahalli is a pioneer educational society was established in 1969 under the leadership of the visionary saint of this part of Karnataka Sri. Sha. Bra. Chandra Shekhara Swamiji and is running as many fifty educational institutions in six districts of Karnataka State, Viz., Bellary, Davanagere, Raichur, Dharwad, Chitradurga, Gadag, Koppal & Shimoga.

In recognition of the requirement of the needs of professional education in this rural part of the country and in order to share the burden of the government, the T.M.A.E.’ society has established Shri.Chandrashekhara Swamiji College of Pharmacy in the year 1979 with a D. Pharm. course with intake of 30 students. B.Pharm. course was started in the very next year i.e. in 1980, (This was the fourth oldest institution in the state of Karnataka) and subsequently M.Pharm. course in two specializations (Pharmacology and Pharm. Chemistry) was introduced in 1996 and were affiliated to Gulbarga University and later on to Rajiv Gandhi University of health sciences, Bangalore. It is note worthy to mention that this institution was established when there was no/scanty awareness about this course in the nation The institution is recognized by the Pharmacy council of India and All India Council for technical education, New Delhi and more so the college has carved a niche of its own at the national and international level. In addition to this we can see that, students from nuke and corner of the country are studying here and a miniature India in this small rural place, i.e. a symbol of national integration. Because of this institution many stalwarts in the field of Pharmacy have visited and appreciated the efforts of the management and staff in uplifting and popularizing pharmacy education from this rural base.

Message By President

Lingaikya Sha || Bra || Shri Chandrashekara Shivacharya Swamiji

He was born in a middle class family and hails from a tiny village Nagathi Basapur of Harapanahalli taluka. His holiness was the professor by profession. After seeing the misery of life in the one of the most backward taluka of this region, He thought of uplifting the region through educational revolution. He renounced the worldly life and took Sanyasa and dedicated his life for the betterment region. He has taken the reins of Shri Tegginamatha and established the T.M.A.E. Society in the year 1969 and is a founder President. The society has started TCH colleges and slowly begun to establish various institutions in the rural areas ranging from Primary schools to Pharmacy research institution. The efforts his holiness has started showing its impact on the standard of life in the region. Maximum number of teachers in the regions is hailing from Harapanahalli and its surroundings. Even in the field of Pharmacy, many top bross of Pham. Industry is from S.C.S. College of Pharmacy. This speaks enough about the contribution of his holiness a divine light and inspiring revolutionist of the region.

Lingaikya Sha || Bra || Shri Chandramouleeshwara Shivacharya Swamiji

He hails from a very rich and cultured family of the area. He was known as Philanthropist, and a selfless social worker. Though he is a business-man by profession his enthusiasm in education is highly appreciable. He has joined hands with his holiness in his Shikshan Dasoha and education revolution activities. Just like ‘Langar’ in North India, ‘Dasoha’ is a activity of the Karnataka, where food is distributed to all. Sri. Shivashankrappa is involved in Dasoha activities. He is associated with the society and serving it selflessly as the Vice- President.

He belongs to the family of Shri Tegginamatha i.e. a family from which normally pontiff of the math hails. He is man who is also associated with the society since its inception. He has acquired his M.A. degree and since then he has served the society in various capacities and now he is serving the society as its Secretary. He is inspiring light for all the activities of the society. His hard work for about 18 hours in a day helps the society and is the backbone of the educational revolution initiated by his holiness. His involvement is there in building construction to guiding the teachers in academic activities. His services are applauded and are liked by the staff, students and parents.

Sha || Bra || Shri Varasadyojatha Shivacharya Swamiji

Shri. Pramoda Devaru, was coroneted to the Shri Tegginamatha as a new pontiff by the new name Shri Varasadyojatha Swamiji, on Monday the 23rd Day of November 2015. His Holiness, Sha|| Bra|| Shri Varasadyojatha Shivacharya Swamiji, is the present pontiff of Shri Tegginamath Samsthana, Harapanahalli.

The present pontiff of Shri Tegginamatha, strictly following the divine path of his predecessor Lingaikya Sha. Bra. Shri Chandramouleeshwara Shivacharya Mahaswamiji. His Holiness is successfully taking ahead the religious, cultural and educational activities with his active involvement.
